modulator question

im changing some parts out and upgrading the transmission a bit. shift kit, new rear seal, z gate shifter, transmission cooler, and i want to replace the modulator. i used to work auto parts and i would notice the modulators had a color stripe on them. what does this color mean. this modulator on this transmission was so full of crap.i cleaned it and it doesnt have a stripe. i know it has do do with the shift point but i have no clue what color modulator i need. or should i just got to an adjustable one?

any modulator you get now a days is adjustable anyway
just get a new one and you will be set

so ur saying if i get a new b&m adjustable one all i got to do is install it with the b&m factory setting and it will shift good.

its till gonna need some adjustments but it should work well out of the box
