I wa splanning on throwing an SS nose on my 84 cutlass.
From an 86 monte SS.
I know the hood is different, but is that all Ill hacve to switch is the hood?
I can use the cutty fenders?

None of the body lines are the same. Even the Regal, which shares it's doors with the Cutlass will not swap header panels with a Cutlass and look right. I saw it done once on a super beater, and trust me-it was fugly! Things were not off a little bit, but by inches.

thanks ^.
I guess ill have to pass on it and try to find some better chrome surrounds for my cutty.
I was hopen to switch to the one piece monte headlights tho.

Is the trim beat up and chipped or just pitted or ugly. If its just ugly you can paint it up.

The Monte uses the same headlights as the Cutlass does. The only car to use the one piece headlights out of the G bodies is the 1987-88 Cutlass Supreme 2 door. That header panel is a bolt on for your car, and all of the body lines fit perfectly. You would also need the bumper cover, grilles, headlights, hood ornament, and header panel.

Hmph i seen a 3rd gen casmaro with one piece headligths and the guy said they were from a monte ls.
It looked pretty good, i was under the impression i could do the same.
I really dont like the euro frontend for the cutlass.

Oh yeah, I had forgot about the later LS models. However, the SS never had them. You could also consider a 1988 or so Nissan Maxima as a possible donor. If all you want are the newer look headlights, bring your tape measure to the local junkyard and find something that would fit.
