Don't despair - you already bought the most expensive piece. I suspect the Forum can help find you a pitman arm pretty easily.
Moog or hotchkins?

The reman unit I got is A1 cardone 27-6530..and my box I'm my car has the big round plate on top. So assuming I've read correctly, I'm gonna need a mcss pitman arm. But the rest is 79' Malibu (idler, tie rods, centerlink and such...)
The pitman arm you'll need can be from any G-body car with the 4-bolt top plate, or 800 series steering box, not necessarily from a Monte SS. As Quinn pointed out, the box with the round snap ring top, or 605 series box has a narrower splined shaft which will not fit the 800 series box.
This box is a "better" box than the stock 600 series box that's on the old bu, right? And all the other components will bolt on?
Yes, the 800 series box is known to be a stronger unit than the 605 series. I've replaced two of them in my wagon over the years.
My current Monte SS 800 series box has been in my car for at least 14 yrs.
Everything else will line up fine.
