is there any way to make the stock manifolds into duals or would i need to buy headers? to do all that id rather invest into sbc with vortec heads i dont ever see me trying to build a 350 olds cause it would cost more and the cars not olds. trying to just drive the car, the fuel injected motor it has now is a nightmare but if i can get the car to be peppy and last a while for the cheap why not.

you can weld up where the crossover went on the manifolds

been doing some research and i think il leave my heads alone, make the manifolds duals and put a vin 9 cam in it and i should be seeing 200hp and at least 250 pounds of torque 8) 8) i wouldnt mind that to cruise around with the t tops off

You have to use the stock intake. The later 307's had tiny intake ports, all other intakes have much larger ports. If you can find a vin 9 ROLLER cam or have Cutlassefi custom grind you one. You can reuse the factory .921" roller lifters, different size than most other Olds engines, .842". You can use a non computer Qjet carb off an Olds 350 or 403, also grab the distributor too, you will need it.
