Has anyone ever heard of Raptor or Afterburner mufflers? We sell them at O'reillys along with magnaflow and flowmaster. I know that Raptor is produced by flowtech and I have no idea on Afterburner's mufflers.

Does anyone know who produces Summit's mufflers? Not sure if heart throb produces them or not. My flowmasters are getting worn from all the welding and what not, so I'm looking for a relatively inexpensive single chamber muffler.

I ran some Raptor's on my Monte years ago, didn't really like them, too quite. I got my Magnaflows through Northern Auto Parts for 50 sumthing each.

Hi pat i use the hooker aero chambers is has a good sound not that tinny sound that some mufflers have.

I ran Afterburners on my bu, many years ago, LOUD  . They are/were? made by flowtech, good deep sound (I thought it was an awesome note), but I had to run some kind of tail pipe in order to drive the car more than a few miles at a time, lol. I ditched them for that reason and went to a flowtech warlock, similar sound but quieter. The downside, they howled like mad when they got hot (no buzzy resonance though). It wasn't a faint howl either, it was almost unbearable when they started singing to one another  .

I looked at the afterburners last night when I stopped by worked, and I can see the exit on the other side even though they'rse offset. It has two perforated tubes and is practically straight through.

Yup  , I suprised the first time I looked down the inlet and saw that. If I remember right they were advertised as a mellow tone  , far from it imo, but if you run tails you may like em. Now that I think about it, I ran a raptor at one point too, it was fairly quiet, like a regular turbo muffler, a little too quiet , lol.

Personally, this is the exhaust I like. I plan to run a set of these this summer.
