Judging by the size of the hole, you're better off replacing it. You can buy a cheap muffler for it...or if you're handy with a welder, you can patch it. The crap that they sell to patch a muffler is going to be useless on that.

It will be a temporary patch at best. Nearly any auto parts store will have the muffler patch kit in stock. Just follow the directions for the best possible results. Long term, you need a muffler.

I figured I needed a new muffler .
Does it cost high to get a mufffler swap?

Yeah just buy a new one. If i remember correctly G-Body mufflers are bolted on? But anyways, it won't be expensive to get a new muffler, they're all mostly under $100 and it shouldn't cost no more than $80 to have them weld it on.

Okay I got more questions , what type of muffler should I get ? Original 40 or super 44
And if I should order them online or let the shop order it for me

Find a local exhaust shop and let them sell you a muffler. Which one to buy is a personal decision but a good shop should be able to steer you in the right direction. How do you want the car to sound? Quiet? Loud? In between?

Glasspacks are super cheap....and loud lol
