My done lights weren’t working when the doors were open, so I got AC Delco new jamb switches. Go to put drivers side in, the receiver inside the kick panel broke off. NOW WHAT?Anybody got any ideas?

That’s your problem right there. You’re done but the car isn’t.

I’m about to put in in place and tac weld it in. I’m so POd
Heat from the welding could damage the new part.

If you want to jerry-rig things just to work, you may be able to just use a strong adhesive - maybe even a generous portion of red loctite on it if I were using already-in-the-toolbox items.

But I'd beware of anything heat based.

There was a fitting,, I found the broken pieces down below. I’ve got some panel bonding adhesive, I’ll use that.
