Nice score!

awesome deal. i thought $100 for my front fenders, bumper, header panel, and aluminum radiator support was good.........

Great find! Other than the interior color, it's a clone of my Cutlass when I got it 14 years ago. Oh, and G bodies are not always cheap. Around here, only the really crappy ones are cheap. A good one goes for $3,000-$5,000 dead stock and not a performance model.

Around here you would be about 1,000 or $1,500 ahead of the game for that car. Hmnn $1,500 you could get a rear, a core engine, & many of the speed parts bought. Then when you get some more dough you are ready to go to the macine shop. Sorry its a sickness of mine. But its easily treatable with money.

i use to pick g bodies up every other month for 100 dollars or so but no that they are desirable again that no longer happens. i just picked up my cutlass calais for 360 and i thought that was a stel considering the condition and the fact that the bucket seats, council and coulumn are worth 360 by themselfs. good score! hope to see it looking good soon!

Its a shame that i dident know the console was worth so much..
i sold one i had, mint maroon, shifter included, $60 oh well live and learn i suppose.
and i have some update dinterior shots in another thread called something like new interior or something similair, check it out!

I've noticed that; they are getting expensive again.

I've bought four (well, I bought two Grand Prix's and my brother got a Cutlass and a Regal). Never paid over $500. Now, people are asking over a grand for a shell with no engine!

Ah, what's the world coming too.

I had a post up a while back about 2 regal T Types. I quit responding cause the guy keeps changing his mind about selling them. He wants 600 for both of them. Both are black with grey interior. Both have motor and trannies. One the turbo was taking off of but thats it. I know he would see them I would just have to wave the money in his face. I aint in no hurry cause they arent going any where. They sit way back off the road behind the old mans house. Been thinking about getting them but NO ONE will actually tell me what they are worth. Everyone just said hell of a deal and wanted to know where they were. Both need some work, but still. I used to have pics, I see if I can find them.

From my experience, that is a phenomenal deal, even if they're not running. I've seen Turbo Buicks being sold as parts cars for $1500.

I bought an '82 Grand Prix in 1999 for $500. When that needed an overhaul in 2003, a guy that was into G-Bodies sold me an '85 for $500 but only because he needed to get rid of it for insurance costs (he had like three Monte Carlo SS's and an El Camino). He originally wanted $900, and I talked him down because of a lifter tick (which I fixed three minutes after getting the car home). My brother got an '84 Cutlass for $400 in 2000, but again, in 2002 he picked up an '87 Regal for $900.

Now, I look around... I saw an '86 Monte on the side of the road for sale the other day. The roof, trunk and hood were rusted through (the trunk actually had a hole in it), there was major damage to the rear end and the suspension was totally thwacked (it sat like it had a 3000 pound weight in the driver's seat). The guy wanted $1200 for it. Which, from what I've seen elsewhere, is a reasonable asking price.

So... yeah. If you can get two turbo Regals for $600, I say to do it. If neither of them work you can probably make thrice that amount by parting them out. Or you might just be able to build a good one out of both of 'em.
