That's about a month ago, I suppose. I have since pulled the vinyl roof off and it looks utterly awful without it -- though, oddly, the roof underneath was painted and finished (unlike most of the other horror stories I hear about the rooves underneath the vinyl).

I'm debating on whether to leave it just... sans vinyl, or perhaps paint everything from the pinstripe up (roof, hood, trunk, upper edges of the quarterpanels) dark gray or black. I'd probably end up doing it with spray paint which would make it look incredibly chintzy, but... that almost makes me want to do it more.

Finally, I'll end on this pic... one of my favorites. It's my Grand Prix, my brother's '87 Regal and my neighbor's fastback Cutlass:

Here she is without the vinyl top. The picture sucks because my camera went teats up and I took this by sticking a webcam out the window, which is... not high quality. But it gets the idea across. I'm torn; I actually kind of like the way it looks without it. Missing trim and everything.
