Very Nice

Similar dimensions to the 377 Chevy that the circle track guys used to love. Should be fun!

Thats a serious engine. 550hp is no joke even for a big block.

What sort of flow are you getting through the heads? What is the final compression ratio? What size headers?

Should be a serious car when you get her going.

Final compression is 12.37:1.
You know I don't even know the flow numbers on the heads.
Bill at Btr doesn't beleive in flow numbers, (if you read his book) crazy I know. I didn't get his heads with the relocated pushrods, which allows him to really port those heads for max effort engines. He said the CNC program he ran on my heads, built over 600hp a engine similar to mine.
I guess I'll see.

I would think those heads will flow 320+ cfm. Your build will easily make those numbers. Did you go with Bill's clearances? He usually likes even bigger ones. Bill knows his stuff, he was a national record holder with Olds power. His relocated push rod Edelbrock's flow 340 intake/220 exhaust. Awesome build, are you taking it to the track?

He said it was well over 300 cfm, but thats it. I agree, Bill is the best, so I went with what he suggested.
My clearances are pretty loose.... Not as loose as he suggests on the rods, but pretty close.
This is a street strip setup so I didn't want to be ideling at 5psi hot oil temps on the street.
I will take it to the strip once I chassis dyno it and get it tuned.
I'm hopping for 10's. i don't care if its 10.999999999999. Anything less than that is a failure for me.
I've redone the whole suspension, actually I've redone the whole car. The only original parts on the car, is the shetmetal, the frame, and the glass.
We'll see i guess, keeping my fingers crossed for now.

I've watched a few excerpts of Trovato on youtube in the various hotrod shows. I think he claimed his record again last year after getting some time to work on his own car. He knows his stuff for sure, and has some very outside the box thinking for sure.

With a 12.37 compression ratio, will you be running race gas? with the cam you described maybe your DCR is low enough to consider pump gas.

If you can get your suspension dialed in, you should have no trouble getting to 10's. Good luck, its a kick *ss project, and with small cubes no less!

If I don't make it into the 10's, I have an Olds diesel block, and 425 steel crank just sitting there waiting.....
Will turn that into a 434 or 442ci SBO!!!

Yup Bill is fast!
He's switching over to a LSX setup. He's gone as fast as you can go with old Olds technology.
I'm not mad at him going over to the dark side....
I'm going to run Shell 114 unleaded at first. (I need to use unleaded so I don't eat up wideban O2 sensors).
I may try and use half 93 and half VP leaded race gas, because the Shell stuff costs 10.00 bucks a gallon.
I'm guessing this won't be the most fuel efficient build I've ever done....
There's always alcohol/ water injection option for us NA guys.....
