looks like you've made some great progress on the car since you've had it, good luck on the gauge swap, can't wait to see the finished product

Here's the tires I got. They were under $200 for all 4 mounted and balanced. I wish I could have painted the wheels but hopefully I can do it with the tires on. Also need to change some wheel studs and get some center caps!

Well I haven't been able to do a whole lot because of work and this little fellow!

But I have done a few little things over the past month or so. I finished up my upper door panels. Basicaly, I used the old parts and just rivited the medium density cardboard to the metal. I then glued 1/4 foam to the new cardboard and top door plate (whatever it's called) and cut the excess foam off.

I had some 1/8 foam laying around and cut-out a couple bowties to glue on the end of the panels.

After that I glued some black vinyl on and cut off the rest, tucking it under the chrome trim by the window felt.

I've had them on for a little while now and only had a problem with the sun hitting passenger side. It must have tightened the vinyl up a bit and it has pealed up little bit at the chrome trim. So, I think I might redo that one again. Otherwise, not bad for how much it cost.

I also got my gauge pod hooked up and somewhat working. I am still missing the sending units for some of the gauges. I first took out the old pod and booted it like Josh Scobee into the trash!

Then after researching, I found this wire convertion diagram. http://www.maliburacing.com/gauge_conversion.html
I then carefully pried the wires out using a small screwdriver. I inserted the screwdriver here.

Using the chart from maliburacing, I rewired the wires into the new spots on the connector.

Then I just put everything back together.

Next step on this is to get the dash covered in black vinyl or fix the cracks and paint it. I'm not sure yet.

looking good so far. keep it up!
