I like the standard shift bench seat with shifter cutout! Very cool!

where are you located?

The right number of pedals makes any car cool! I love the bench seat stick setup!!! Looks like a no A/C, Vinyl bench car factory too. The only way it could be any cooler from the factory would be a vinyl mat instead of carpet and maybe the 9C1 option (if it was available on a 2 door).

very nice lookin malibu. what did you do for your stereo install?

Thanks for all the compliments! 😀 I'm from Eugene Oregon. the land of rain!

The car originally came wih a 229 and a 3 speed on the floor. I replaced those with a 350 and a Super T-10 4 speed. The shiftter sat further back at the edge of the seat, so I had to modify with the cutout. I'm happy with the way it came out. I'm working on getting the engine compartment painted and detailed right now.

The sound system is just a cheap one with a Pioneer CD player and cheap Jensen 4 x 6s in the doors and 6 x 9s on the deck. No amp. I'm not much of a music type. I do like the sound of a well tuned engine though!

i can tell by your first picture that cars a p*ssy magnet haha

nice lookin malibu

im wiht u on the system i just have a sony xplod head unit and 6x9s good enough for me

i kinda meant how did you install it as in your radio

78mali350 do u have the new head unit if so then

first start by cutting the radio trim so the opening is just enough to insert the metal peice through that holds the radio dont cut to large tho becaue the metal peice has a lip and when u slide the metal peice through the front it should go all the way in and get caught on the lip of that peice.

now there should be taps that can be bent on the metal peice just behind the trim bend those out so they hold it in place

now u wire it up either go pick up a adapter for your car or just hard wire it the adapter will alow u to plug your aftermarket radio into your stock harness, but the adaptor must be wired directly to the wires for the new head unit

after that push the new head unit through opening of your trim it should clip into the metal peice u mounted aslo put on the trim peice that goes around the radio to cover the lip of the metal peice

then clip the adapter to the stock harness and screw the whole thing back in

srry im not to good at giving directions but that should give u a little help
