i have a 82 cutty wit a chevy 350, cam , headerz, dual pipe wit mufflerz, and 4 barrel carb.. she rides real nice but sometime i dont have to push on the gas pedal for it to go .. one time i was on the freeway going 50 mph and my foot wasnt even on the pedal .. this is a problem .. i called jegs and they said it may be an acceleration problem but i would have to take it to a shop to narrow it down.. any idea ?? thanks

@67rstbkt do u mean the linkage to the transmission ..???

No, I mean the throttle linkage. Remove the air cleaner and check to make sure that everything operates freely and does not get stuck. Also make sure that nothing on the underside of the air cleaner is contacting or close to contacting any moving parts. If the carb is not new, spray everything down with carb cleaner.

you shouldnt be driving, maybe instead you could spend your time with 1st grade english lessons

"Ghost ridez"..."It be smashing"...You called Jegs to diagnose your problem?

From what I can kind of understand from your posts I would say you need to take it to a competent shop.
