My Basic Security For My Regal

Since I plan on driving my Regal when it's done to work and do some running around etc. I just wanted some deterrents for your average would be thief.
I don't live in a bad area and my car won't be outside overnight but I figured a little caution can save some grief if something did happen.
So first I bought a new Club since my old one I use for bleeding brakes, and then I added a battery cut off switch under the hood to kill power to the car and then to make the hood itself secure I added some hood locks to it. So probably under a $70 for everything.

Nice cut-off bracket/installation. Looks professional!
From experience, the club can be beaten very quickly. But im originally from brooklyn where auto theft was a major in most schools

i installed an ignition switch cutout (i used a fuse i can pull and take with me)

I cant put a column lock because of my tach but i would if i could
If it were mine I would find a new place for the tach before I gave up the idea of a column mounted theft deterrent device.

So say someone does break into my car and then breaks my column because I don't have a collar then what?
Would the next step be pry my locked hood open with a crowbar so you can turn the power on for the ignition to work.
The reality is around here locking my doors is probably all I need that is why I titled this basic security.

So every time u do the battery cut off your clock resets?
i didn't do it yet on the Regal but on my Monte with a trunk mount battery and cut off switch I ran the memory wire for the radio directly to the battery.

Please excuse me, going back to look at my response I can see I should have made my reply to Daca214.
