It's not A G - Body But it is a real nice car. It has been in his family since it was new.
His Uncle bought it From His Dad who was a salesman at the Chevy dealer In Phoenix at the time.
The car has no rust and just underwent a body off Restoration.
At the "All Chevy Day Car Show " Today At the Chevy dealer in Chandler AZ.

Nice looking Impala !!!
Guy

My Dad bought a 65 impala ss with the 327 powerglide. Metalic blue. Really nice car.

They drove it for about 4 years and traded it in on a 69 impala Gold w bronze interior.

My Brother had a 66 nova 327 4 speed and then a 70 ss 396 nova.

The big block was badazz L. Those are some powerful engines for sure.

Cool! That reminds me of a guy who actually lives just a block from me-he has a '66 Impala that his dad bought new-it is not an SS BUT-he had it ordered with a 427/4-spd and with a bench seat! Obviously with a solid lifter 427 you couldn't get factory AC but after it arrived at the dealer he had them install an aftermarket underdash AC unit....talk about a sleeper! He recently got it running after being "stored" in his garage as a shelf for the last 15 years....the sound of that 427 idling past my driveway in 2nd gear got me feeling all goofy inside-car sounds like an automotive version of a pissed off Rottweiler trying to get free of his chain!
