I just put a new stroker motor and transmission in my car, and when I was about to back it out I couldn't start the car or turn it off, it is stuck in the 'run' postion.. How do I fix it???

i put a floor shifter and it did the same thing, i have a floor shift column now though, but havnt put it in yet...stronat0007 said:The car was a colome shift car, still have the knucle there from the shifter, but has a racthet shifter in floor now, I made sure the knucle was in the park posiontion... But it's like stuck, no moving foward or backwards.. Locked up tight..
or this should work... if you need me to i can take a picture of what im talking about or a short videopontiacgp said:disconnect the link from the column to the transmission and you should be able to get your key out
