my luck with ordering new autoparts

why is it i am getting all this defective stuff? 😡

first 1 was a Quick Fuel Pressure regulator. Pissing fuel out the vent hole "returned it" new one is working.

now i got a "AED" oil filled fuel pressure Gauge didn't even open the package the plug is missing and there is oil all in the package! :sad: "being returned for a swop"

other stuff i got last year a fuel pump that didn’t pump exhaust pipes that were missing brackets that were supposed to have been welded on.
set of 16 push rods that had 4 bent. 😕 2 Holley 3310 carbs i was unable to get working even when i put them on my engine to test "i was running the same 3310 just a older ver". mine worked but the 2 my friend got new would not work right.

Damn cant believe summit would send defective parts like that .I would think they would check the parts before sending .I dunno i ordered something from summit once and then went to jegs and they had it cheaper .So i cancelled the summit order lol so i have never experienced they're parts at all .
 
I order most of my stuff from summit. I had one bad torque converter from them. there customer service was great had the new one before i could get the old one shipped back out.
 
It doesnt matter if its Summit or Jegs if its not THEIR brand of part. Its not like Summit or Jegs actually tests each individual item they sell from other vendors. I got a bad tire (broken belt) from BFG Goodrich through Summit a few years ago. I called Summit knowing it wasnt their fault but they still discounted me 50% and sent me a new one the next day on top of that. The people at Summit are definatley quick to make things right which is why they see my business and why I have over $3000 in receipts over the past year. Sucks to hear about your luck, we've all gotten bad parts but you seem to have quite the streak going there :lol:

Hey man I have yet to touch the inside of the engine, transmission, or rear end. Im far from done :mrgreen:
 
i got a bad plug from summit a while back. i chalked it up to a manufacturing defect and summit took all the plugs back and sent me another set which cost more and didnt charge me an extra penny.

i blame the parts makers for lack of quality control, either they dont have QC or someone in QC needs to be fired. sometimes it just happens and nobody is to blame.
 
its not summit and jegs to blame it is the manufacturer.
