It’s not so bad if you have an end in sight. It’s not like every panel needs patching. On a positve note you do have more floor in your Elky than I have in my Monte. Tin worms suck.
I’d go with new floor pans. Do it once. I guess i was lucky, mine spent its first 36 years in California.theres lots of little pin holes, do you think I could just cover those up somehow, or would it be worth it to get all new floors?
Well im glad im not alone pagrunt. I checked the car fax before I bought it and it spent most of its life in Delaware.
I might buy the new pans but I'd probably wouldn't use the entire pan. I'd cut them to just take the pieces needed to replace the holes and thin areas on the car.I’d go with new floor pans. Do it once. I guess i was lucky, mine spent its first 36 years in California.
Lol yeah. Didn't buy a G-body in hopes that it will be a collectors item in the future though, just love the way they drive and feel.By rust free he must have meant he didn't charge extra for the rust. Still looks like a nice start. G-bodys are on the rise if there more frequent appearance on the weekend car shows means anything.
Wow i guess my 84 floors are very good for an ElCo lolpulled the carpet today... "rust free" my a**. Never trusting another "mechanic" again. Said he replaced the carpet last year, makes me wonder what else he shortcutted. Seems we are in for a partial restoration.
