Very Nice car and great job with the radio! I saw an article about a radio from a GM car that the push buttons didnt work and it was some mechanism on the side of the radio that became disattached or needed lubing. Dont know if its the same for ford radios. Like when i push some of the buttons in i can see the tuner thread move a tiny bit but it doesnt move the full distance to the preset.

This is the car ford built to take on the Impala, which was most popular in black / white. It has historical significance which you can easily prove. Painting this car anything except black would be a tremendous mistake and cause it to go down in value! It could also disqualify you from historic/ antique plates which may / (or may not) be available at discounted rates in your state. Full coverage insurance becomes much more affordable if you restore w the original factory color (or very close to it) just some advice its your car and I think its very cool. Nice find +++

PS, if you do want to increase the value of the car & qualify for all that stuff, you would probably need to first focus on getting a 390 block like originally came w/ the car*

Well this car was repainted before, the original color i believe was blue. Im not too big of a fan of black and im sure red would make the car stand out more and make it really look like a classic and thanks! 🙂

^^Almost none of this is true.^^

Car looks great. I think you're on the right track keeping it stock appearing.

^^ I was thinking that aswell DRIVEN 🙂 and thanks! I believe that old cars like this should be kept stock and not donked out or lowered or hydraulics.

Awesome find! Congrats!...man.. do I love those big bench seats of that era...back when cruising with a girl by your side was the coolest thing you could do. sure, bucket seats are nice...but if you ever get lucky enough to drive one of these through town with your girl sitting close to ya...you'll never forget the experience. (of course, the seat belt laws have pretty much killed that joy.... )

Good luck w/it!...Keep us posted!

Haha i know what you mean! This bench seat is huge! Way bigger then the one in the Monte for sure! Sometimes i just go sit inside, turn on the am radio and just sit there for about 10 minutes just listening to it 😳 Cant wait to be able to drive it on the road this summer! I wanna take it to a drive in 8)
