I have been looking for some very clean and preferably southern doors for my Regal so I don't have to weld in bottoms and found this guy that was selling this beater roller 81' Cutlass that just happened to have some southern doors inside the car where the seats should be but would not separate the doors from the car.
I drove about an hour to look at the car ( I mean doors) and it was at his Dad's shop where they also do towing.
We agreed on a price including bringing it to me and so I decided I would pay him if he brings the doors to my house now and I will get the car at the end of the week and we set up a time for Friday evening and they showed up right on time with a really nice flatbed. I was nice out Today and I would have taken the Monte out but this thing was in my way.

Great story - sounds like something that I would do but my wife would object. Haha. Not too bad for a 'beater'; at least what I can see from the pics.

I am going to try and sell it as a whole car first just to get rid of it but I will probably end up stripping it if I don't get much of a response.
I think it is worth more in parts than it is as a car.

Nice score! I believe the doors I put on my regal are off a cutlass. They had about 27 layers of paint on them, lol, but no mud or rust!

What kind of shape is the car in? It doesn't look that bad in the pics. What am I not seeing that makes you say it would be better for parts than fixing up?

The interior is completely gutted except for the cracked dash, rust holes in the floorboards and upper trunk (too much crap in there to see the lower), both doors on the car are shot.

This was a no option car that had a bench seat (missing inner seat brackets) and a non tilt steering column.
It even has the large single diaphragm brake booster and the slow ratio steering box and skinny front sway bar and no rear sway bar.
It has some good exterior parts, trim, glass, rims and tires and I haven't even looked at the frame yet.
