Hey guys just wanted to let some of you know how to do these and how well they work.
It's pretty cheap about $45 total at your local home depot or lowes.
All you need is about 3 or 4 six foot sticks of 1x1 square steel. (I'm sure the aluminum tubing will work too however not as structurally sound)
Now the hard part is the labor measure once cut twice here guys.

And the out come:
Awsome!!!!!!!!!
I've noticed slot less body roll, no more sitting in the passenger seat after a hard turn, and deffinetly alot tighter all around.
Now for the pics

And the center bar (from trailing arm to trailing arm)

Added bump stops for added security although the drive shaft fully clears it

Lot of fun to make not to hard either plus makes one he'll of a difference.
Tell me what you guys think.

Outstanding. This is one form of old school hot rodding.

Lol I'm 19 years old so I'm not too informed of old school hot rodding.
However I'm sure they did similar mods I'm just building on a part time budget an this is what I came up with.
I'm sure it's nothing compared to all the tubular high dollar suspension stuff on the market but deffinetly better than nothing.

I like the mods but do think you need to consider the braces from the back cross bar to the back bumper. If soemone hits you from behind, instead of the bumper shocks collapsing and minimizing damage to the frame, you will be transferring the force from the hit on the bumper straight to the ends of the frame rails. If you get hit hard enough you might end up tweaking the suspension more than without the braces. From the physics standpoint the braces don't make a major contribution to the stiffness, the cross bar does.

Nice job.

I thought the same thing Max but I didn't have time to type it up earlier. Old Skool is at least to some degree just finding a way and building things better yourself instead of buying it from the catalog.

Well I've already been in a wreck once ice got a full parts car minus the front end.
I'm not too worried about being rear ended I've pit humty dumpty back together once without insurance money I can do it again with insurance money

As far as old school goes and not ordering things from a catalog I guess I'm pretty old school.
For the time being this car is more of a learning experience than anything else.
It is my first car and I've put alot of time and effort into finding out how things work and how to do things just to better my knowledge.
It's fun I love it and people think I'm crazy.
