My Swap Pontiac GP'79 - LS1

hi guys, currently preparing for the engine swap im my 79 GP. Engine: LS1 form Camaro 4gen (europe version 280hp)

and i have few questions:

1. i want leave original rear axle and just shorten the shaft - shaft and rear axle can withstand more power??

ps.
i buy 8.5" rear axle for upgrade power but i want to put it later, after engine modifications.

2. brakes - i bought the brakes of the Camaro 4Gen for LS1 - what minimum size wheels must be under these brakes - 16" will fit?

3. intake manifolds - original is boring, i was thinking about something like this - it's worth something to buy?

what transmission ? drive shaft length depends on transmission .

i am going to do same swap on my 78 GP soon but 6.2

Gearbox 4L60E, i measured shaft after the target mounted engine and transmission. I know how much you need to shorten the shaft.

i had to move the engine approx. 10 cm closer to the radiator

i didn't see gbody ls1 swap with modified on drive shaft ... and i think there is a way to escape that...anyway depends what engine and transmission u had on your GP before the swap.

anyhow i think about my gp i don't need to modified on driveshaft cause for now 1.5inch of yoke is out of transmission
