She just called and she's crying. She stopped for fuel and witnessed a lady slapping her dog and had it by the collar shaking it. She and another guy getting fuel rushed over and stopped her. The lady told my wife to mind her F-ing business. My wife told her no she will not. The guy called the police. The guy told my wife to go ahead and leave cause he would take care of it. This lady is pretty lucky because my wife has taken boxing lessons for a couple years. I know a man is not supposed to hit a woman no matter the condition BUT if I'd been there, I don't know if I could have kept myself from slapping the sh*t out that woman. I'd gladly go to jail for that. There's right and wrong and then there's human compassion. I've always had a dog since I was in diapers. The world would be pretty bland without pets

People like that shouldn't have pets. It is heart breaking. I just got home a little while ago with my dog who just had knee surgery from both his knees. I treat him or both my dogs for that matter better than myself.

When people mistreat dogs it infuriates me. My wife encountered something like that not a beating but someone left their dog in the car on a hot day and she confronted them threaten to call the cops then they left the pet store where she works. They could have brought their dog in but didn't want to.

I commend your wife for standing up to the animal abuse.

Kudos to your wife. I know plenty of ******* people that should be forced to wear a collar and poop outdoors........

Never understood why people have pets if they are gonna treat them like that.

My grandpa actually just "stole" a dog. Everyday for about 2 weeks he would drive by a house on his way into town. Everyday there was this bone thin dog chained up on the front porch. No food or water bowl in site. After so many days of seeing this he made a stop and grabbed the dog. No one even reported him missing. This was about 8 years ago and my grandpa still has this dog he named "Dog". One of the best mannered dogs I have ever been around.

Last winter on my way home from work during a blizzard I noticed a dog chained up outside of a house down the road from me. I drove by without stopping but it tore me up thinking about it. I made a promise to myself that if I saw it out again I would take him home. Luckily(maybe not) I never saw that dog again...
