Near Death Experiences

The closest my family and I came was in 2005 when a 18 year old kid with a BAC of .228 broke up with his girlfriend and decided to try and end it. He was northbound in the southbound lanes weaving in and out of traffic, I remember my wife screaming and everything going into slo-mo. As he got close I just kept thinking I had to keep him from hitting us head on. He was driving a dark blue Jeep Cherokee. It was almost like a bullfighter and the bull. I got the nose of the truck around him, he hit the right side of our truck a 2003 4 door Dodge, it ripped off both passenger doors, the whole bedside and half the rear axle. I remember seeing the Jeep taillights rotating up as he hit us, after that he rolled upside down over a Chrysler Cirrus in the next lane, it was a rental the lady driving had because her car was totaled by another drunk. Me, my wife and two boys walked away with minor injuries, the youngest boy was in his carseat on the passenger side but that was probably fortunate as the older boy tended to lean up against the door and nod off, he tended to get carsick and needed Dramamine on anything more than a short trip to the store.Drunk Kid admitted to the cops he was going to try and kill himself and aimed for my truck because it was the biggest car on the road. They estimate he was going 70 when he hit us.

Now I found the pics of my winter accident with me '72 back in Jan of 2000. Hit two slippery patches, recovered from the first but the second got me. I was keeping the car between second & third running ten miles under the posted speed. Did multiple 360's for about 100 yards until I had a tree stop me. A few feet farther back towards the door & then Elvis would of left the building. The pics were after I salvaged what I could off it after I signed over the title to the towing company as I had nowhere to hid the remains. I'm glad the seatbelts for the late '72's are set up like a three point harness cause it kept me in the seat.

I am fortunate to not have been THAT close to the end. But a few months back I was driving the old lady's BMW X3 at about 190kmh down a straight stretch on my way to work. It was cold but roads were nice and dry. Well they were up until the end of this straight stretch. Suddenly I'm on black ice coming into a corner, I look down and I'm still doing 180, the car feels like an excited dog wagging it's tail. I let off the throttle and gently started to turn while pooping a little, and somehow kept it on the road. I didn't have a steady hand all day, and all my muscles felt like jello for hours. Crazy what adrenaline does to you.

I know this is nothing compared to the rest of these stories, but for sure I wouldn't be here if this had gone any other way.

Yesterday I walked into the bathroom at work after one of the parts guys was in there and had a near death experience

I did the same last week when I walked in after our mechanic and I had just had chinese for lunch

But my near death experience happened pretty early in life, when my parents were starting into their divorce they dropped me and my sister off at my grandmas house. So we were up in the back bedroom doing normal stupid kid stuff aka jumping on the bed. It was storming something fierce that night and the bed is right next to the window so I start looking out at the lightning. Boom my sister runs back and makes a huge jump on the bed that shoots me out the window down 2 stories into the alley and had my head land right next to a brick.
The story goes that my grandma wasn't feeling well so my sister run into her bedroom and tells her that I feel so is not rushing a long, but when they get into the room they can't find me and my sister points over there so my grandma flies over to the window and sees me laying in the alley. Overall, still don't know how I survived it but really only ended up being bruised head to toe and broke my right arm which I did a second time a few years later.
