NEED A GOOD SET UP FOR 15" TIRES for my 442

The bodies on most of our G's are not centered perfectly on the frame. Some people have done 255's but have frame rub. I chose 245's because the overall diameter is only slightly taller than the factory spec 215/65/15 tire. 235/60/15's are a popular choice because they are the same diameter as the 215's. Jump up to a 255 and they will likely rub, especially when cornering and will create that tractor tire look. They have a 27.1" overall diameter....Too big in my opinion but give it a try if you're OK with that look.
I went with the popular choice Thanks Anubis. 235's

Vanrah thanks for your info,But winter here can get very sticky ice on road but only on bridges and freeway here in Dallas Tx So that's being said I went and got the Cooper 235/60/15 Thanks to guy here OneHit send me the link they were a good deal I got didn't think bout weather and stuff just the look hehe .

Good move. I think thats about the best you can do. Back about 10 years ago the BFG, Coopers and Firestone Dayton's were the best bang for the buck. But BFG's are very pricey now, and i think the Dayton's are discontinued. I've had all of them and they are all great.

Sometimes you can go to a tireshop and find a chinese or korean knockoff version.

I have Jetzon (with a 'Z') Revenger GT tires on mine in a 255/60/15. They are identical to a Cooper Cobra tread. Very sticky, dont last long, but they are super cheap. I paid $80 (CAD) per tire.

So what's the more wide 8-9" you could go on the rear with out rubbing or notching the frame with after market wheels

235'S In the front 255's in the back. 15"x7" rims
No rubbing anywhere, even with 4 fat guys in the car.
Can't beat BFG for the RIGHT muscle car look.
