Need different axle?

So I pulled the the axle and found where the bearing rides the shaft is ruff looking but yet smooth to the touch. It is orginal to the car of 68k miles with 5k of that with a 355 oh and a 2:41 ratio but upgrading to limited slip and 3:42 ratio what other 7 5/8 axle will fit. 26 spline

No car been sitting for 10+ year just getting it out and doing drive train upgrades only 400hp

i want to say I've heard there is a model/year of camaro that's a swap.it escapes me though.

I have a 85 firebird rearend and the axles are longer clearly I didn't measure but 1" to 2"

OMC - I’ve thrown out 10 of them in the last 5 years. 7.5” rears are not overly wanted. Look around, someone near you will have one. I have 4 presently, but I’m a hike from ya.

A little insurance may be to upgrade to Moser or Superior shafts for your 7.5.
