As for modifying the isolator it's really simple, just not sure how well I can explain it. It's just a donut made out of rubber basically so I cut it so I could reshape it to the new larger diameter of the spring(after you cut the pigtail off). It wont stay that way so I zip-tied it to the spring to hols it in place while I installed it. Hope that helps.
