If you put your foot in it does the problem clear up?

You said you have a see through fuel filter?
If you let it sit at an idle with the hood up watching it for about 10 minutes does your filter get full?

Ya Sometimes Complete Full And Sometimes With Room To Spare inside the filter.

Ok cool so youv ruled out the fuel pump. Unless its a heat soak issue i dont think the problems in the carb either. I think it just needs a tune up. But i could be wrong lol

2¢, what dizzy are you using? Spark plugs look good but check your dizzy weights, if they are sticky, your timing will be approx. 32-36 at idle. Causing it to spit and fart the way you described. If that's all good, your carb. Floats maybe stuck in an open position, flooding the bowl.

Dizzy Weights are you talking inside the carb? If so im not sure i take my carbs to a guy for rebuilding hahaha. the backfire only happened last night just once. If The bowls were flooded i would smell a strong thing of fuel and last night i smelled no fuel. the carb since the rebuild has low miles and use on it. Ive only had the floats stick once in this car before i got the carb rebuilr but it was more of an it just died thing and then started ran fine this was different. It May Just Need A Tune up ill drive it for a week and see how she does then go from there haha.

The weights are inside the distributers, under the rotor. Correct about smelling the fuel, if the floats are stuck in a down position. If they are stuck in a up position, the fuel bowls will not refill. Resulting in a similar condition you are experiencing. The weights on the distributor advance the timing using centrifugal force. If the are rusty and do not move freely, they also produce a similar result you're experiencing.

But Why Would It Do The Problem Last Night and not do it this morning or is it possible that this may be an intermittent problem? Im taking it to work tonight here in a few hours its only 2 miles up the street but well see how she does there and back right now im tearing out a 200 4r for my car with my dad haha its been a great few days hahaha :blam:

Yep. Both would do it. Start with the dizzy first. Take off the cap and rotor and see if the weights move freely. Any binding or rubbing will be enough to cause the problem.
