Need info on an 84 GP

My dad offered to sell me the 84 Grand Prix Brougham that's been in my family since 1989. I plan on either using it in something like the Grassroots Challenge (build a racecar for under $2,009) or using it as a track car. The trouble is, I don't know anything about this car. I've been searching for a few hours, and specs are really hard to find. This is all I know about the car:
-White with blue "velvet" interior
-bench seat
-305 V8
-Sunroof
-Vinyl roof (with tons of rust)
-Gold GTA wheels
What I'm wanting to know is information on the car. IE, what it came with...disc or drum brakes, things like that. I also want to know possible improvements, 4- or 5-speed swap info (links), and where to sell the interior. Thanks in advance for your help!

Disc in front, drums in rear...pretty std format for GM.

Ebay's the best place to sell, other than catching the eye of somebody on here. Bench seats aren't in demand, but if the door panels are pristine, somebody would be interested probably.

The 305 was a Chevy engine so you could swap a 350 into it readily.
Lots of posts on that.
