have an 81 with stock console and bucket seats wanted to add 2 cup holders with out it lookin like crap... any ideas or pics. can be anywhere around driver seat. dash console door?

Going to build one for my son's car too. He has a din mount radio that he wants to put into it but not butcher the dash up any.. I think we are going to build a place for it under the stock radio and try to install 2 cup holders also. His car has a bench seat so we kinda have limited space to work with also.
I'll try to get some pics as the work progresses, but he's 17 and has other priorities too.....LOL
And I am not going to do it for him but with him, so it may take a while.

You might be able to mount one where the ashtray is on the console, not alot of options in places. Could mount it in the change tray at the front of the console but I would think that would be quite a stretch.
Unfortunately there aren't a whole lot of options with how little space is available on the console. I have however discovered that a large Coke can wedge into the console quite nicely 🙂 so maybe you could install them there if you don't mind giving up storage space.
How about like a flip out cup holder like in a95 Subaru legacy. You push a Button and they pop out from under the radio.
