need to know if this is a good deal...

found a car on craigslist,
its a 1981 regal.
with a pontiac 400, just rebuilt it.
with a r4 trans
guy sez no rust.(said it was down south most it life)
two dents in the car, one on door, and one on quarter.
he said it has a newer under coating job done...(i hate that stuff)
it has a split bench seat up front (is that rare?)

stuff that comes with it.

new clutch fan kit.
b&m shifter kit.
true dual exaust kit.
new rims, new tires.

he only wants $500 for all of it.
is that good???
i dont know much about g-bodies.
..what should i check when i go look at it???

check the frame rails behind the rear tires for rot and the floorboards if it was just undercoated it might be hard to tell but these things rot out bad

Check the bottom of the doors, rear frame, trunk lid lip, core support esp. near the battery. Def. the floors and the 1/4 behind the rear wheels. If it has the limited package be warned. The stainless trim on the car traps lots of water/dirt. You won't see anything unless you take it off. If the car has the 1/2 padded top and it's torn water gets underneath. Pop the trunk lid and look at the base of the rear window for rot. With the filler piece in place you won't see it all. Look at these pics to see what I have to deal with 🙁

$500 for all that? If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. I would check everywhere for rust, and look underneath also. I know it is cheap, but if he is lying then he's not worth giving money to.
