Need trans ID'd for 78 Caballero

Hey guys,

I have a 78 Caballero I am currently getting roadworthy after removing it from a field.

I picked up a TH700R4 the other day, and the buyer threw in a GM transmission (not sure if it is a 250, 350)

I looked over the trans and can't find any very obvious signs of what it is.

The only info I got was a code on the pan - Y9C 30N and a large G on the driver side of the bell housing.

Any help figuring out what trans it is will be greatly appreciated!

Being it's stamped on the pan it sounds like a chevy 350 Y = PLANT,TOLEDO O = YEAR PRODUCED 70 OR 80 B = MONTH BUILT FEB 04 = FORTH DAY OF THE MONTH N = NIGHT SHIFT

Plain pan is a turbo 250 or turbo 350. A pan with "METRIC" stamped into it is a 200c
