I picked up a project motor. Would it be safe to use a needle scaler on the iron block?

pics of the tool? I used them while in the Navy in the shipyard, think that model would be too much
I haven’t bought one yet but was looking at the mini one at harbor freight. I think they call it compact. Was gonna use it for other stuff as well. The LS block has a lot of pockets in the casting that are hard to get into with a wire wheel or other method. But i was worried about the hammering action and also the harmonics of the tool possibly not being good for internals of the motor, which was my main concern.

I don't feel it would be excessive on an iron block. I used one on the block + various pieces/parts that were crusty for my Model-A's cast-iron engine.
Thanks i think i will give it a shot then.

I have one of these needle scaler attachments mounted to a HF air hammer and it works great and would never hurt an iron block.
I used this a lot when I was cleaning up the floor boards in my Regal

I used them a lot when I did work on heavy equipment. Obviously while staying away from any mating surfaces you won’t hurt anything.

Thanks everyone. So the harmonic / vibration action wont hurt internals?
