Alright let's update the post. My car is not the same anymore lol. The first 350 I blew on ocean parkway goin way 2 fast, snapped a rod, broke cam in half, and fudged up the crank. So that motor is long gone. I have a chevy 302 in it right now but blew a ring and it smokes like a pig when u get on it. So now it's back to another chevy 350. I got it outta a 98tahoe for 100$.
New plan:
Going to bore chevy over .30, use rpm air gap intake, 650 proform carb., chevy phase 6 bowtie aluminum heads, flat top pistons, stock rods and crank,
Need opinions:
Anyone know how these bowtie heads flow? What cam should I get?(I was looking at comps xtreme energy 282hr cam 510-520 lift), the blocks only a two bolt main, is that able 2 support 400-450hp with stock crank and rods? I wanna get the car in the low 12s?

The car is a mucie 4 speed. 3.73rear,tubular trailing arms, front a arms, just put a/c delete box in need to post pix, stock brakes, 275 tire in back. Title says car only weighs 2964. Electric fan, electric fuel pump. That's about all I can think of.

Any opinions would be greatly appreciated thanks.

 just because it can doesn't mean anyone should try it. A completely stock 2 bolt 350 shouldn't have over 450 on it. With ARP main bolts and a fresh build it'll handle 500. With main studs and a line hone, new crank it can handle 550 if its a clean running engine and tuned properly. Some people say a built 2 bolt will handle 600, I say thats a lot of cash to be playing with.

low 12's and 450 hp is very optimistic. You're not going to get there just on phase 6 heads, post a link to your source of the heads and flow numbers if possible. I think those things flow about 240 around .500 lift and 260 around .600.

The 282hr, dual plane, and 650 ain't gunna cut it. If you want low 12's start looking at those heads with a 288-294 cam. (the 288 is about as radical you want for the street, the 294 would get you there for sure, 750, and vic jr. That combo will make around 450-460hp with exhaust and accessories just a guess but its probably close. If you go with a retro fit roller lifter, windage tray and some other goodies you can make more. Strongly recommend ARP main studs (and head bolts). Then you're going to need more rear gear 4.10 or so and a launch at 3000 of your 4 spd. Good suspension and tires (looks like you have em already) and you should be at low 12's.

I work at a machine shop. So all the machine work and building is being done by me. I'm gonna leave the bottom end stock. Change the main bolts, port and polish the heads. Have 10.1 compression ratio, full exhaust. It's gonna be a roller cam so I think iMa get the 282ht and if I want more lift I'll put my 1.6 ratio rockers on the car. I'm still indecisive, just looking for opinions. I appreciate all the replys, thanks guys
