crate motor?

I want a ramjet 350, looks sexy!

No it isn't a crate motor, I got 2 5.7L L31 cores, and used the best parts of both blocks to create one good short block, upgraded the camshaft, and added a gm performance ram jet intake kit and wiring, along with a serpentine accessory belt system. I've driven about 50 miles since I have had it installed, had to get a different clutch and fan for cooling after the first one was pushing air instead of pulling it, I still need to come up with a compressor hose for the a/c as the v6 one isn't going to work. Other than all the instructions I received on the forum for a V6 to 350 swap, and the instructions that came with the ram jet kit, I deviated a little and used a Grand National gas tank, Iroc fuel pump, and the fuel lines are 3/8 newer plastic tubing used on todays vehicles. Instead of a frame mounted pump. All the existing engine harness was removed, and as neatly as possible the new harness was run.
What I have left to tend too is removing the dash cluster and switching the tach to V8 mode, either pull the check engine light bulb while the cluster is out, or find another way to get the light turned off, and finding an A/C hose that will work for my setup is at the top of my wants, is a Monte Carlo w/ a V8 have the a/c compressor on the passenger side at the top as it is in this, oh ya and someday I need to come up with an alternative to have cruise control again. Suggestions anyone??

SBC compressors are on the driver side, olds are on the pass. side

Cruise runs off a vacuum from the manifold, you should be able to hook it back up (dunno how, I'll be messing with mine too in a few weeks) or get some sort of universal kit

😳 Wow that was way too easy, I have been looking up every other vehicle with a chevy engine trying to compare compressor and hose routings, and I should've just stuck with my vehicle but changed what engine I had. Thanks for that. :!: now if only my check engine light and cruise control were that easy of a fix.

No. V8 Montes have the compressors on the driver's side. Look for '88-92 V8 Camaros with a serpentine belt drive for AC hoses as the compressors had switched to the passenger's side.
My TPI Monte has functioning cruise thanks to the Camaro servo that came with the donor motor.
