It's the only one he's got. Looks like donation time.
We will probably offer the complete exhaust system for sale. California emissions. Will also offer all of the AIR System. I don’t plan to keep the car original and I know that there will be restorers out there looking for these pieces.

This car is going to be a daily driver for my 16-year-old daughter. I know that some of you guys won’t like this idea, however, that’s how it’s going to go. She loves the car and we are going to keep it looking original, at the same time adding a little bit of performance to it.

I got my 70 GS 455 my senior year. I kept it for 40 years and only let it go due to a divorce/sacrifice. I’ll make sure that my daughter can retain this automobile as long as she is willing.

Lucky for her anything made in 1979 doesn't make enough power to hurt itself or its operator. Excellent car nonetheless.

Hell yeah man. If she likes the car all the more reason to let her have it. Tbh I think people should learn to drive in old cars. Teaches you how to actually drive, not just sit in a chair and point the car at your destination.

Put dual exhaust on it. People have gained a second in the 1/4 mile on 80's H/O and 442's with just dual exhaust. The factory crossover is a joke for any performance. Also copy the 83 to 87 H/O and 442's formula and it will run less rpms on the free way. They used a D5 high stall converter, rated at 2400 stall, will actually stall just over 2000 rpm, which is perfect. They also used a performance calibrated TH2004R with bigger boost valves, a better servo and just under 5000 rpm shift points. The 2004R is a completely direct swap for your TH350 except the crossmember gets moved to the TH400 position. All the 81 and up cars have the frame extensions, you need to add them. They are available aftermarket and isn't a huge job. The other piece of the H/O and 442's performance was the 3.73 gears. Most had the 8.5" rear, which is much stronger. An upgrade to a either new, any decent brand and a Trutrac is factory 26 spline or stronger 28 spline with aftermarket axles like the Moser. Or a used gear set and Torsen worm gear posi carrier, usually on Ebay from a 93 to 02 Camaro or Firebird with aftermarket Moser axles and with either new or used option, add a girdle cover, it should last forever. Not only will the Olds 350 sound great with dual exhaust, with the upgraded trans and rear will make noticeably faster. You will actually run about 500 rpm less at 60 mph with the above combo over stock due to the .67 overdrive and lock up torque converter. The TCI lock up kit works well to control the lock up automatically. My Daughter's also have drove my 70 Cutlass S and 88 Cutlass. And yes bad things have happened, it is the risk you take. Good luck.
