NEW CAR TIME! Wife Getting a New Cadillac XT5 and I'm loaning my bank money to do it.

Equinox based?
Blazer and Acadia.

C1XX platform they call it. (aka Crossover) All under the Epsilon II umbrella. The XT is for "Crossover Touring" and the 5 is how many minutes it takes to lose another $1000 in value sitting in the driveway. Actually, they just have them as sizes. 4 compact, 5 mid-size, 6 full size crossover.

I told her that if she gets a $60K car, then I should get one too...she looked at me like who cares? She got hers I guess.

But I'm torn....I've narrowed things down. Some days I favor one over the other. I guess it depends on what I do with my old truck. My brother in law wants it and if it goes that route, then I'm doing a truck.

This? (ok, probably a little more than 60k...)

The Avalon didn't materialize. Toyota dealers aren't discounting enough to make it worth while trading her '17 Maxima in.

This is what she has always really wanted. I'd tried to sway her but we're back where we started.

Do think this is awesome or does puking up your lunch come to mind?

If it flips up her dress, that's all that matters. Personally, there's a few cues on that car that look good to me, and many that don't. I'd have never considered a CUV/SUV/Whatever if it wasn't for what the wife wanted.

You know my answer. A 2019 Redeye with the Power Dollars is a massive savings, and a lot of car for the money.

A widebody would have to be required. Even a Scat Pack Widebody would work for me.

I can dig up more threads on where there are stockpiles of cars with good prices. Hellcat owners track this stuff pretty closely.
