I see that colour F150 daily, the red flake is quite cool.

Thanks for the suggestions of these other colors but while I like most of these colors on the cars they came on they are mostly too red or bright for what I am looking for, if I didn't already have a black Gbody I would just do black so instead I am looking for something that is the darkest black cherry I can get and the closest to black.

There's a painting trick Chevy used on the concept Impala SS in the 90s. They painted the car black then tinted the clear. On that one they tinted with purple. I'm sure you could find a cherry paint to get the effect your after.

Wasn't that a tri-coat? I'd look up the WA number for it but my PPG bible only goes to '88 for chips.

I remember that when l painted my car the black cherry pearl the dealer did advise me that the primer/sealer color would make a big difference. I just went with common grey, but could have went with black or white primer/sealer for a deeper black or a brighter red.

If I ever started from scratch on a color, I always wanted to recreate the color on my 77 LTD 1000. This is the coolest color ever. Black Brown Burgundy with a pinch of gold metal flake. This pic doesn't do it justice. Need to see it in the sun. Looks like you are on a pretty good track though.

Not my bike but I do have one . . .
