Well it sure isn't hurting anything. I just doubt they'd be helping, wire looms are more expensive for 10.5 mm (even most that are advertised to hold 9mm will only hold 8.5 mm wires). If you want it for show and its cheap why not?

haha, i know its stupid, but this guy is looking to liquidate everything so why not.

got the heads installed this weekend... HUUUUUUUUUUUUGE!!!!!! difference over the stock 882's. 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀 couldn't be happier with them.

i had some trouble installing them with clearance from the header, if i do it again ever, i'm definitely unbolting the collectors.

switching the springs matched from my cam to the new heads was a PITA! the valve springs on the ones i bought were massive and had an inner spring which the vlave compresser i had would not work on. i had to thread a nut on the rocker stud and pry down on the spring with a rather crappy set up. i had side cutters wide open the cutting part under the nut and the handles going on either side of the keepers, then i had some 3/8 ext. on the handles so i could pry down.

then after reassembling everything, i found we cracked a trans cooling line. must be with all the moving of the engine to get the head bolts out and then torqued. i had the unbolt the header at the engine and the collector to get access to where the line bolted to the trans, then i had to buy a flare crows foot to get to the fitting on the trans.

all and all.... a HUGE PITA. worth it?? yes! from stock 882 heads to 200cc runner 64cc combustion chamber 2.02 valve dart iron eagles, HUGE difference.

i have a before video of it idling. i'll have to make an after video once i get the new mufflers in.

lol, of course it is

what intake are you running?

performer rpm, may be upgrading to an air gap with a holley double pumper, but at this point its just a quadrajet.

Good choices, the double pumper is harder to tune so I've heard. I've got a 4150 street avenger and it's a good carb, couldn't say anything about throttle response cuz it's not tuned yet

But just cruising around so far, the rpm air gap makes pleennty of power down low at 2000 rpms

Is it just a stock bottom end? You could get a forged crank and pistons and have a candidate for some serious nitrous shots

yeah, i have heard the crank and rod bearing are 10 over/under. depends who was telling me, so i want to put a new crank and bearings in,
