Has anyone here replaced their door latches with new ones? If so, where did you get them (N.O.S./reproduction)? The only ones I have seen are from OPGi, and it looks like they only offer the RH and they are expensive.
On the other hand, are the latches rebuildable or have a part/mechanism that wears over time and use that can be repaired? I have been told there might be a "return spring" inside that is likely weak, but I don't have the time to pull one out and take an in depth look since I have to drive the car everyday. Any ideas? My car is in overall good condition and the doors are in good alignment, they just don't seem to want to shut without effort. In my opinion, the weight of the door itself should be enough to close without having to push on it.
