yes I do
and my Iroc for good measure
as for parts I bought the car without exhaust, I just asked a general question saying "I'm gonna do true duals, I want long tubes, what brand should I go with?" and everyone told me long tubes suck I should buy shorties, and that I should do single exhaust instead of true duals cause it flows better. anyways I've found headers, pipes, mufflers and a dual notch cross member. just gotta wait for the next pay check to throw it all together.
as of right now both cars are mostly stock, as far as mods the monte has an edelbrock air cleaner and 14inch berlinetta wheels. the Iroc has an after market radio (probably 15 years old) and headers. I have yet to do work to either car cause I'm low on funds. I bought the monte first, and I got the Iroc off a friend for cheap cause he couldn't keep it anymore. both have 72k on the clock but it could be 172 for all I know. my plan is to get monte up and running, I figure it will handle snow driving a little better than the Iroc, the monte did start, but a few weeks ago it decided it didn't want to anymore, so I'm gonna check my ground wires since I'm sure it's and electrical issue. I have fresh tires on the Iroc and I'm gonna put those wheels on the monte for the winter, I hope the heater works.
what does it need? it's kinda rusty but that can wait, I need tail light lenses cause mine are cracked, the spoiler is cracked but it's not important right now. I gotta fix the leak in the power steering pump, and I might need a new radiator, maybe just hoses, idk but someting's leaking anti freeze. after that's done, if it starts I should be good to go, just change the oil and differential grease and drive it around to figure out what other bugs need to be worked out.
the Iroc needs a fuel pump, and idk what else after that
as for plans I was gonna keep the Iroc stock as a daily, and I wanted to build a 383 for the monte, stalled shifted automatic and maybe a 12 bolt with 3:73s. but the more research I do I feel I shouldn't waste my time with a 383, just go big block, and maybe a manual swap, not sure at the moment. and the camaro was gonna be stock but it doesn't have t-tops which kills me, and the other night I went for a ride in my buddy's Z28, last week he swapped out his 700R4 to a T-5 and his 2:73 gears for 4:11s. that thing hauls *ss and it's a 305 chevy. my Iroc has a 350. I figure cam, heads, intake, swap in a manual and bigger gears and then I can have some fun with it too, but I'm broke at the moment so it's all a pipe dream till I save up some money.
but I'm open to suggestions, that's why I joined. also I'm tired of just going to camaro meets, hoping some guys on here like to meet up n do stuff as well
