hey. My names Mark and i live in Roseville Michigan. Im 21. last March i bought a 86 Grand National, i love it, but the problem is it has a ton of problems. it has a stock chip and spark knocks about 4 degrees, its fuel pressure is 3-4 lbs below what it needs under full throttle/boost. Ive change 3 regulators, the fuel filter, and fuel pump, still got no better. I would love some info on this, since im new to the Turbo Buick family.

welcome to the site! someone will hopefully chime in here soon with some good information for you

i sure hope so, ive wanted one since i was 12, and the one i have runs like crap, lol it need to change. IT could be a vacuum leak or something stupid, the vacuum are showing some dry rot, so im gonna change those next.

probably would be a good idea, make sure all of those hoses are still good also what about an EGR valve? I know that those have something to do with the air.

I think that mine is on the valve cover and pretty sure that it goes into one of the vaccum ports on the carb. I know that if those go bad cars do not run quite as well as they could but but this is kinda just me shooting in the dark as well

Welcome and good luck with your GN .Glad to see another Metro Detroit member on the board. We all would love to see some pics.

and on a side note, no the turbos are not as easy to work on as people from other sites seem to believe. I understand the problems your goin through and hopefully someone will chime in tomorrow with some more knowledge
