My name is Djay from Beliot, Wisconsin I've been a b-body guy since I graduated HS 1st car was a 94 Impala, 2nd a 94 Caprice, 3rd a 96 Impala, and my 4th and current 96 Impala. I've always liked G-bodies I am planning on getting one summer 2013 a t-top Monte Carlo SS hopefully, friend of mine has a 80 big block Malibu & 87 Cutlass, another with a LS2 Monte Carlo SS, and another with a 84 Monte Carlo I was told it's a CL not LS(if anyone could fill me in on the differences.) My friend with the Malibu has a complete 455 & a set of 4:10s for a Ford 9inch if anyone is interested.

The differences in the Montes are
81-mid 86 is a SC or Sport Coupe
mid 86-88 is a LS or Luxury Sport
83-88 also had the SS.
The SC is commonly misslabeled a CL but that is just a interior package with extra padding and sound deadening.
