Greetings fellow G-Body lovers, my name is Xavier and I'm from Detroit! I'm a 22 year old student and I've been a fan of the G-Body since I could remember! In March of 2010 I purchased a 1984 Monte Carlo (non SS) and I've been been so excited to get my project started. It's a solid body equipped with the factory V6. The interior is solid but it needs a lot of minor work in order to be suitable. I plan on taking the stock motor out, rebuilding and installing a 350 CID 4-bolt main that my grandad has had in his possession for the past 25 years along with a 350 trans with a shift kit. Hopefully before the summer, I can possibly get it painted. The color I want to go with is a cocaine white with gold flakes and a heroin tan ragtop but knowing me, I'm likely to change my mind again. The car has it's OG paint (It's a mocha color with a brown ragtop). I don't want to get the huge rims that everyone my age is into, I might just get some 22 inch IROC wheels or some Corvette Rallys. My purpose for joining this forum is to get ideas from fellow G-Body lovers like myself as well as sharing my own. I look forward to hearing from you guys so don't be shy........
