Hi everyone. I have an 85 Buick GN with T/tops. Didn't know much about them when I purchased it in 95 except that it was a V6 with a turbo! Well after hanging out with some of my friends that had very nice classic cars and Ford and Chevy engines I was convinced to pull the V6 out and put a Chevy 396 in it to play with at the local drag strip ( Please don't hate, was young and dumb! ) I ran it like that for 5 years and then pulled everything out. Its been sitting ever since. Now looking for some help and advice to restoring it to its old glory!

Thanks

Troy

If your looking to go back to Turbo V6 I'd try to find a 86-87 Setup for the car. The 84-85 where Hot Air turbo cars with no intercooler making alot less HP.

But if your looking to do a factory numbers matching restoration well then have at it. Good luck with the car with any direction you choose to go. I'd consider a LS engine aswell if you dont care to much for the Turbo v6.

Thanks for the reply's! I certainly agree, I would definitely like to go with the 86-87 setup and inter-cooler. LS2 would be cool too! Been debating on going up to the G Body Nationals to speak to some of the guys up there and get an idea of what I am looking at with a newer setup tomorrow.

Thanks
Troy
