I have owned a 81' Malibu wagon for about 12 years. It has been my baby for along time, many engines, trans, rear diffs, fuel systems, and stereos. It is time for me to part with it however. It will be raped of all Hi-Po parts, and transfered to my newest Gbody, 87 Regal Limited. The wagons spirt will live on, a guy who runs a auto recycler down the street from me has a Malibu coupe, and a Elco. There are some things he will be using from the wagon. Here a few pictures.

Badass lookin setup man, watd the wagon run with all that?

I have only run the "street drags" in Monroe with that wagon. The track is a little short of a full 1/8th mile. My best I could muster, with Falken radial tires (i.e. no slicks, drag radials, ect.) and a slipping TH350 trans was a 6.7. The car could burn the tires off at 40mph however, but only did it a few times till the trans got real bad. The way it sat it was probably good for a 10.5 qtr mile, but thats just some bench racing, so I have nothing to back that up yet.... There were a total of 7 brackets out there, bracket 7 being unlimited, I ran in bracket 5 a few times. Most cars in Bracket 3 on up run slicks, so I wasn't doing to bad on my street tires, it was a squirely ride down the track, even with a slipin trans. I have a great new trans for the Regal, but it is just chillin on the garage floor right now.

Here is my other ride.

The best I could get with this one at the same track was 7.99. If that puts the wagon time inperspective
note the number 33 on both of the cars, that is my race number 😀

Are you parting the wagon out or selling complete? I'm new here too, but live in Lynnwood. I need a few parts for my '82 Wagon I just snagged. Just dropped in an HO454 and a 700R4. I need a heater control unit, w/A/C. Mine leaks vacuum. I have a chassis dyno too for getting your turbo car lined out! Gimme a buzz, 425.239.5562 Matt

Another badass wagon. Remember, G-Body Nation is always looking for new members. 🙂
