Just posting a hello to everyone, I'm new here but have found a ton of great information so far. I don't own a G body yet but that will probably change by this weekend. I stumbled upon a 1979 Malibu wagon with a crate 350 (mild build) and TH350. It's an original V8 car that is very clean for Ohio 
The owner and I have been dancing around a price for a couple of days, and I think we're close. It runs/drives strong and the suspension is surprisingly tight.
I'm looking at this as an occasional daily driver and cruiser. It needs a few things to make it more streetable for everyday use, but doesn't everything? My first car was a '72 Chevelle that I owned for almost 20 years (sold about 4 years ago). so I'm pretty familiar with small blocks and GM in general. I miss having something fun and have always liked this body style.
