Who sells the Johnny Lightning Malibus currently? The last time I saw them was at Walmart, and of course Toy's R Us is out of business. I bought one at Walmart years back, but never was able to pick up the additional types....police car, hoopty, etc.
I'd like to create a Malibu wagon using panels from a Hot Wheels (Chevelle) wagon.

I found both the green and gold/white (or is it blue/black?) Malibu's at Walmart, along with the H/O. I got the blue Cutlass from Amazon.

I don't even bother going to the stores anymore to look for them.

The managers have $$ deals with all the "dealers" that do the car shows and or "collectors" that get first pick at the new shipments.

That's way you find 400 different versions of the same Hot Wheels tractor and none of the one you want.

I found this out years ago at TARGET when I was trying to find the littlest pet shop set my daughter wanted.

All the stores showed inventory on the websites but when you get there oh no we don't have that.

After going to 3 stores I showed the manager his inventory from the website and forced him to go look for it.

What do you know he found it in less than 5 minutes.

Usually I'd avoid buying them online due to high markup people put on them, but that might be the sure way to find them.

When I was looking for the Gas Monkey Vette for the Jr Mechanic (& one for the Dad collection) I couldn't find one at Wally World. Just go into a Dollar General & they had a hook full.

Sometimes Dollar General surprises you. I've found a few Hot Wheels cars that I couldn't find at Wally World...to my surprise.

My son got me the white/gold Malibu last week.
Was in WallyWorld, saw the Johnny Lightning rack almost empty, one car left on it.
Now I've got my "80's Muscle"... Do those words even go together??
