Hello all. My name is Jacob. New to the forums. Not by any means new to the Gbody world. I am the second owner of an original 86 Cutlass Salon 442. has just over 80k miles. Going to either be swapping the stock 307ho motor for a stock 455 gold block or build up the 307. Not sure. Will post a engine swap thread in the engine swap posts shortly.

all depends on your goals not a lot to build up a 307 with , the 86 heads are limiting ....research is your friend .

455 will pop right in with little to no modification. But with all that torque you'd destroy whatever is behind that 307 in a hurry. But do hold on to that 307 once you do. People want em. And if it's a 442 it should have a 200r4 and a 3.73 8.5 rear, so I guess you'd be fine there. But the 200r4 in stock form isn't all that great.
