I've been pulling a lot of information from this site for the past couple of weeks so I thought I'd become a member. I've been a bodyman for the past 16 years but I've also been paid to be a mechanic and painter. I have a small shop behind my house in Conroe Texas (just north of Houston) that I work out of. I'm known as a repairman among my friends so paying work does come into the shop. I'm trying to expand that so maybe it'll pay for my toys.
Last week I picked up a 1983 Cutlass. Right now I'm using it as daily transportation so I can build my truck, but I do have plans for it.

Cool car man. Give us the deets. Drivetrain, mileage, plans, etc!

Welcome to a great site. I'm close by in Spring.

3.8, th200c, 87000. I'm using it as a daily driver so I can put some time into my 1976 F100. I'm wanting to install a LSx eventually but that will be a year or so away. I don't like projects to sit so I'll collect all the parts needed before I begin.

Welcome to the forum. You can't beat the ride of a G Body for a comfortable daily driver in my opinion. I drive my '86 Monte Carlo to work every day right now. Someday, when I finally find another Monte for the right price to drive in its place, I'm gonna start rebuilding it. If you have lots of experience as a body man, I may have to get your opinion on some things. I want to do as much of the body work on my car as I can but I don't have much experience with it.
You've already seen that there's a lot of info on here. There's a lot of good people on here too. Oh, I don't know if you saw it or not but there's a section for non G Body projects as well if you want to show off your F100.

Welcome from West Michigan.

Doug
